Red Light Therapy is thought to aid in the health and wellness of skin, muscles, and other parts of the body through the application of low levels of infrared light. Red Light Therapy applies light emitting diodes (LED) to be used on the outer layer of the skin and can reach several centimeters into the body. • Typical application time ranges from 5-10 seconds per spot for smaller areas and 30-45 seconds or more for larger areas. A spot refers to the area covered by the LEDs.
• If you have sensitivity, consider starting at half of the recommended application time per spot. Note that darker surfaces may absorb more light and feel warmer than lighter ones.
